Today garbage has become the beginning and end of many things. Our lives are filled with an infinite amount of objects that glimmer and are beautiful one moment, and become worthless, hence waste material very quickly.
Our own personal ideas and beliefs, both political and religious, can easily come under this concept. These are often presented and sold to us as an appealing product, to then later reveal their true value: an empty box, that can readily be thrown away as garbage, like all the rest.
I have decided to throw into my garbage bin, the representatives of the religion I grew up with. Never has there been a moment in which it has been more distant from its original purpose, becoming ever more subject to power, in the form of control, denial and money. Power that is far from people’s lives and closer to more terrain desires that are typical of corrupt or corruptible power, taking on the aspect of a beautiful box on the outside, but desolately empty inside.
