All my life I dispensed words. I have never produced anything but words, ideas, sentences, and texts. In the process, I had the opportunity to discard many words as superfluous, unnecessary, inexact, and ambiguous. The “Garbage Pin” project gave me the opportunity to preserve words that I do not need anymore. The project also allows me to preserve the words for the unlikely scenario that I shall need them again. One such word is Drosophila, the scientific name of a genus of flies that has been heavily used in research in genetics and is a common model organism in biology. I don’t use Drosophila anymore, thus, one of my bags contains not only the discarded letters of “DEAD DROSOPHILA” but also dead Drosophila.
Titles:
1. HAIKU & SPRING
2. HATE & DETEST
3. Dead Drosophila & DEAD DROSOPHILA
4. DESIRE & LOVE
5. PRIDE & DOOM
