I live in a park like setting called the University of Wisconsin Arboretum. Itís a forest research facility for the University and also open to the public. The contents of my bags were picked up during my weekly hike through the forest trails and in the surrounding streets.
The garbage I picked up includes an energy drink called Hammer Gel, which Iíve never heard of, but it sounds horrible and smells worse, some sort of McDonaldís wrapping paper with Ronald McDonald dunking a basketball and the phrase ìIím loving it,î an old Band-aid bandage still in a circular shape from being on someoneís finger, some fragments of roofing shingles, and parts of a glass bottle.
There really was very little trash on the trails. I found this encouraging. Either the trails are well maintained or people are very good about not leaving their trash behind.
