This challenge made me recenter and focus upon the remains of my own work as a jeweller.

The artistic work certainly produces leftovers, debris. Raw materials or unfinished works are recyclable or recycled, as some ideas are.

By their own nature or quality some are kept while others will be recovered later or even abandoned – only to become memories of a work, of a thought, of an achievement.

This ongoing process may bring back doubts, hesitations and anguishes. It also allows me to recover notes and to revisit my series of works.

This selection and retrieval of leftovers requires a deeply personal and intimate exercise of choice. Enjoyable and unique on it’s own.
