My work refers to the pollution that we have created and its consequences. The 5 days given to develop the Pin garbage project prompted me to consider the 5 senses. Each piece of work refers to one sense:
Aeroplane – Acoustic pollution – I recorded the sounds of the planes which fly daily over my village, even though I live in a very isolated village in the English countryside;
Smoke – This obscures our lives and our sight;
Black – I collected the black powder deposits that collect on our windows from the electric power station close by;
Migraine – The pollutants of artificial smells that may harm the body;
Angelica – we are consumed by foods with artificial colours, flavours and preservatives.
